The two-way shape memory effect is the effect that the material remembers two different shapes: one at the low temperatures, and one at the high temperature. Intrinsically, shape memory materials show only one-way shape memory effect. The two-way shape memory effect can be obtained by some complex thermomechanical training. But we achieved to it with a simple procedure in NiTi bi-layer composite.
